President's Message
Many of you have been advising you wish to renew your memberships with the club next year. We really appreciate your support and can guarantee new and exciting activities are in store. To help our hard-working managers to identify everyone accurately, could you please add your ABF number in the identification field when making electronic transfers, as well as your name. It saves time and thus money, so we can continue to keep our charges lower in this inflationary environment.
If you wish to find out information on fellow members you just need to go to Pianola where any public information which has been authorised by yourselves, can be accessed. Some members have restricted information so you may need to approach them yourself rather than using Pianola.
As Christmas approaches, we have teams of volunteers working behind the scenes preparing for the final supervised session on the evening of Wednesday 14th when pizzas will be shared, and the day session on Wednesday 21st when we are having our Christmas party. Mark the dates and sessions in your diaries and come and join the fun.
Thank you to all the people who are making suggestions in the suggestion box. I hope you are noticing that we are trying to implement your ideas. We even had a suggestion that we get a suggestion box placed in there!
After completing your day’s play it would be really helpful if your push your chairs into place and clean and tidy the tables, putting any rubbish into the bins and placing cups and glasses into the dishwasher.
If your partner has won the contract following the bidding, please wish them good luck after revealing dummy’s hand.
Tim Mather
