Next Step Lessons

Competitive Bidding & Play

Barb Toohey will run two 4-week courses on Competitive Bidding and Play. This is the next step after the beginners lessons, and suitable for Novice & Supervised Players.

Mentoring in May each year

Partner one of the more experienced member volunteers and play one or two duplicate sessions. Your partnership will be arranged for you. After the session discussing the hands introduces new bridge concepts, provides great tips and widens possibilities.

Advanced Lessons

Lessons based on Eddie Kantar's material, conducted by CBC members who are experienced players and teachers, will be held periodically

 


BFACT Director's Course

The last BFACT Director's Course was held late last year, running from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm each day. The course was presented by Sebastian Yuen (recently internationally accredited), and Bruce Crossman. 

To foster bridge in the ACT, BFACT offers these courses free to its members. Those from non affiliated clubs are welcome, but are charged a fee of $50 for 2 days, or $25 for 1 day. 

There is an optional open book exam post each course to determine suitability.
