It’s “Annual General Meeting” Season!
Canberra Bridge Club
The AGM of the Canberra Bridge Club will be held on Tuesday 24 September at 5.30pm.
Nomination forms are available at the club. Please show your support for the club by coming along.
Proxy
You may appoint a proxy to vote for you if you cannot attend, but any attending member can only hold ONE proxy vote. Proxy forms are available in the club and must be given to the Secretary 24 hours ahead of the AGM.
Bridge Federation of the ACT (BFACT)
The Bridge Federation of the ACT is our ‘state’ body, to which we (Canberra BC), Capital BC, South Canberra BC, Cootamundra BC and Monaro (Cooma) BC are affiliated.
Members of the Canberra Bridge Club are members of BFACT by virtue of their CBC membership.
BFACT’s AGM will be held at CBC on Sunday 29 September at about 5pm, at the conclusion of play in the Gala Pairs.
Lighter Moments
New York (CNN). At John F. Kennedy International Airport today, a Caucasian male (later discovered to be a high school mathematics teacher) was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a compass, a protractor and a graphical calculator.
According to law enforcement officials, he is believed to have ties to the Al-Gebra network. He will be charged with carrying weapons of math instruction.
