Melbourne Cup
We would like to express a big thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to once again help out the Club and run the Melbourne Cup Event. As we all know, without their help it would be impossible to run these events.
The below helpers worked hard over two days preparing rooms, shopping, arranging flowers, preparing food on the day, selling sweeps, selling raffle tickets for our charity, and cleaning up afterwards:
Chris Sheen, Susan Walters, Christine Donovan, Jenny Brogan, Ella Beer, David Thompson, John Hempenstall, Lyn Turner, Margaret Kyburz and Mary Tough.
Flower arrangement was again wonderfully organised by Adrienne Stephens, Maureen Hickman and Marlene Jeffery, with a big thank you to all our wonderful gardening members who provided all those amazing flower donations.
Justine Beaumont did a fabulous job with a general tidy up of most areas around the club.
Thank you also to Jan Johnston for running a raffle for CBC’s charity Barnardos.
Unfortunately the Dress and Hat parade was cancelled due to lack of entries; two members were awarded prizes for being stalwarts and staying until the end.

Looking for your lost glasses? Keys?
Have you misplaced your reading glasses at the Club?
We have a box full of little bits of lost property – with many pairs of glasses looking for their owners. We even have some sets of keys!
Please speak with Emily or Kerry during the half hour before/after sessions, or to your director if outside office hours, and we can give you access to the lost property box to see if you can find your long lost items.
